Lakesedge book review5/30/2023 The setting of Lakesedge was well described and I loved how dark the estate was. The writing was really beautiful and dark. Now as she falls for Rowan she realized he is connected to the Lord Under and must save him and herself. Review: I really enjoyed reading this book which is about a girl named Violeta who arrives at Lakesedge estate where there is a monster that drowned his family. She is represented by Jill Grinberg at Jill Grinberg Literary Management. A former youth librarian, she has a Bachelors in Creative Writing and a Graduate Diploma in Library and Information Management. Now, to save Rowan-and herself-Leta must confront the darkness in her past, including unraveling the mystery of her connection to the Lord Under.Ībout the Author: Lyndall Clipstone writes YA Gothic about monsters and the girls who like to kiss them. There’s a monster in the shadows, and now it knows my name. A creature to whom Leta is inexplicably drawn… But neither the estate nor the monster are what they seem.Īs Leta falls for Rowan, she discovers he is bound to the Lord Under, the sinister death god lurking in the black waters of the lake. She knows the terrifying rumors about Rowan Sylvanan, who drowned his entire family when he was a boy. When Violeta Graceling arrives at haunted Lakesedge estate, she expects to find a monster. Perfect for fans of Naomi Novik and Brigid Kemmerer. Summary: A lush gothic fantasy about monsters and magic, set on the banks of a cursed lake.
